Ubud
Ubud, approx. 30 km north of Denpasar is a major arts and cultural center of the island. The house of Walter Spies, a German painter and musician, became the cultural center of Bali and can be visited today.

Gunung Kawi
Gunung Kawi in Tampaksiring, a temple complex with nine, seven-meter-high rock coves, dating from the 11th century, lies hidden in the narrow valley of the Pakrisan north east of Ubud.

Kintamani
Kintamani lies on the apex of the outer of two calderas of the volcano Gunung Batur at a height of 1470 m. Center of an elongated street village is the temple Pura Ulun Danu Batur.
The temple, also known as Pura Batur, is the second most important temple on the island of Bali, after Pura Besakih.

Klungkung
Pura Besakih
Pura Besakih is the Mother Temple of the Balinese temples. Built in the 8th Century, the Mother Temple of Besakih is the largest and most important Hindu temple on the island.
The spacious temple complex has own districts for the noble families and own temples or shrines for the village communities.

Tanah Lot Temple
Pura Tanah Lot is a Hindu temple on a cliff on the coast of the island of Bali. At high tide the temple is surrounded by the sea and forms an island. The temple was founded by Danghyang Nirartha (Pedanda Sakti Bau Rau), a Javanese priest.
Particularly the evening hours are especially popular for visitors because the temple emerges in the light of the setting sun.
