Trip to Hannover in 2004

Memories of a trip to Sri Lanka in 1983.
We stayed in a hotel directly on the beach of Bentota. In Bentota, we met a driver who had lived in Frankfurt for several years and spoke very good German. With him we made a tour of several days via Anuradhapura, Polonnaruwa, Sigiriya, Dambulla, Kandy to Nuwara Eliya in the highlands.

Pura Tanah Lot is a Hindu temple on a cliff on the coast of the island of Bali. At high tide the temple is surrounded by the sea and forms an island. The temple was founded by Danghyang Nirartha (Pedanda Sakti Bau Rau), a Javanese priest.
Particularly the evening hours are especially popular for visitors because the temple emerges in the light of the setting sun.
